Tonight I did the journey on relaxation and it was awesome! I sat in my den area and closed my eyes listened to the instruction on the exercise and it was very soothing. I honestly was able to move the flow of the blood to my arms at first it kind of shocked me that my mind had that much control over my body. I must say that this is one of the best exercises that I have ever done in a class. While I didn't know going in to this exercise that it would in fact be on my list to help my find my peace. Using relaxation techniques is an awesome way to help reduce the stress of your everyday life. Being more relaxed will get me closer to find my sense of peace. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Katrina,
ReplyDeleteI found listening to Journey and Relaxation to be relaxing as well however, it took me about three times of listening to it before I could honestly do what the narrator said. I am not sure if it was because I had just got done planning and cleaning up after my six year olds birthday party or because I was just stressed from everything.
I can say after relaxing I felt much more energized than I was before I began it which in my head I thought it would put me to sleep from how relaxed I was.
You did a great job on this week's blog, thank you for your thoughts!

Hi Katrina,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed participating in listening to this audio as well as following the directions. I felt very relaxed and as I have mentioned a couple times before I have a hard time relaxing. I found that the voice was very relaxing and the words were very descriptive. It helped me focus more on what he was saying so I could then make sure I was feeling and doing so. I agree with you on that, this can definitely come in handy in reducing stress.

Hey Katrina,
ReplyDeleteThe recording was definitely a big help in relaxing. I think it must also be the sound of the voice as well because I did it with my fussy two week old and she calmed right down and fell into a deep sleep. Also being that she is so fussy it was nice to take a deep breath and relax and for me it was very handy. Relaxing and staying frustration free is very much needed at this stage of child care and being a mom.
Nice reading your blog,
